| Aspect | Needs full sun. Hibiscus will produce more flowers if the Summer is long and hot, so give Hibiscus a warm sheltered spot in cooler areas if possible, to enhance flowering. |
| Care | Grow in moist, well drained preferably alkaline (limy) soil. Apply a winter mulch. Doesn't need much pruning, except to remove any misplaced branches or damaged wood. |

| Description | Hibiscus come in the form of frost tender annuals and perennials, as well as woody deciduous shrubs. Shrub hibiscus is fully hardy, and are cultivars of Hibiscus syriacus. Hibiscus have flamboyantly coloured flowers (from late-Summer to mid-Autumn). Foliage is glossy green, occasionally variegated. |
