Summer varieties of radish prefer light shade.
Care
Radishes prefer a soil that has already been improved for the previous year's crop. Avoid soil that is prone to drought. Do not allow to dry out, but also avoid over-watering (which will encourage leafy growth). Harvest as soon as the roots are big enough, otherwise they will turn woody, and run to seed!
Uses
-Good to grow in rows or blocks
Description
This is a fast growing crop (taking as little as 3 eeks to mature in the Summer). They are diverse and love cool weather. It has a slightly hot flavour.
