| Aspect | Delphiniums prefer full sun. They are full hardy, and will suit an East, South or West facing garden. They can be grown in an exposed or sheltered site. |
| Care | They prefer a fertile moist but well drained, or well drained soil. If you deadhead regularly, by cutting dead flowers back to small flowering side shoots, you could be treated to a second flush of flowers later in the summer (although you shouldn't expect them!) Once the foliage is dying back in autumn, cut all growth down to ground level. |
