AspectPrefer full sun.Doesn't mind an exposed or sheltered site, and is suitable for east, south and west facing gardens.
CareThey need fertile, moist but well drained soil. For tall varieties provide stakes as support. Every 3-4 years you should divide the clumps in spring/autumn to help maintain the vigour of the plant.

DescriptionThese late flowering perennials have longlasting flowers from summer-autumn. The are quite tall and clump forming, so will spread slowly over the years to create a bold block of colour. Flowers can be cut, and are useful for attracting bees and other useful insects in to the garden. They look good grown with other late flowering perennials such as Asters, Crocosmias, Sedums, Rudbeckias etc. Some are fully hardy, some are frost hardy (meaniing they will tolerate temperatures down to -5 degrees Celsius.
