Prefers partial shade.
Care
Prefers moist but not water logged soil. Add medium fertilizer when planting. In the autumn, cut it down to soil level. Divide it every 2-3 years to keep it healthy.
Uses
-Flavours savoury and sweet dishes (mint sauce is easy to make, just mix mint and vinegar, and it tastes delicious with lamb).
-easy to grow
-can be grown in containers (recommended to reduce spreading) as part of a patio kitchen.
Description
Mint is a hardy perennial, which comes in many types, the two most popular being spearmint and peppermint. It has an invasive, spreading habit, the best way to limit the spread is to plant it in a container.
