| Care | Callunas need and open site, with well drained, acidic soil. In early spring ct back the flowered shoots to within 2.5cm (1 inch) of older growth. To encourage new growth, especially in young plants, mulch with leaf mould, compost or bark in spring or autumn. |

| Description | This small, evergreen shrub is loed by bees, when it produces masses of bell shaped flowers from mid summer until autumn. Looks good with dwarf Rhododendrons and dwarf Conifers, and is fully hardy. |
