ColoursWhite,
SizeHeight - 1m/3ft

AspectIdeally in full sun (some tolerate partial shade.)
CareGrow in fertile soil that is not too dry. Some varieties do not like pruning but on thse that do cut back flowered stems to flowered buds or young shoots lower down. Encourage new growth on mature plants by cutting one in three of the old branches to the base. It is best to grow less hardy types within hardy shrubs.
Uses-They look good with Philadelphus and Weigela as part of mixed border
DescriptionFrom Spring to Summer these deciduous shrubs produce clusters of starry white/pink flowers (fragrant on Deutzia gracilis and Deutzia scabria) Most have oval leaves, which are hard to see through the masses of flowers. Easy to grow. Fully hardy.
